About the Originals

Writing gets boring when you hit high school. Or maybe it just gets more structured: there are suddenly essays, citations. Memoirs. The focus shifts from the fun things you were doing – exploring your own action adventure fantasy worlds – and moves towards Serious Forms of Writing. (Not that there is anything wrong with these, not at all.)

As I’ve come to find, I still have a lot of action adventure fantastical characters to find out about. To explore. They deserve a chance to have their stories heard, because lord knows I’m tired of being the only one to know them.

This space pays homage to one of my most favorite characters (one Gregory Ducante) who has never been able to get enough mention as he deserves. The shorts and characters examined here help to delve deeper into the world he lives in and the connections to its inhabitants that he enjoys.

I hope you enjoy the stories: and if you have any questions, queries, or intrigue about my work, please don’t hesitate to get in touch: courtneyryanne.morgan@gmail.com

Looking for something a little more serious than a matured carryover from childhood? Try my other site, Running Away South.

I’m looking forward to reading more about the strange/eccentric Mr. Ducante. 😉

    • Aww, yay! I’m glad someone other than me is intrigued by him. =) Hopefully (if life/school/work/the full manuscript he is a player in) don’t get in the way, I’ll have a post a day going up – stay tuned! (And thank you SO MUCH for the support!)

You go, girl! Thanks for visiting my site and for the Nano-finish-cheer! Do pursue the MFA if you can — I had a worthwhile experience with Purdue’s program. Have fun with your blog — I’m adding you to my blogroll (the pressure’s on — now you’ve got expectant readers!).

    • Oh man, thank you so much for the add! I really appreciate it! And I was actually considering Purdue’s program – I won’ be applying for awhile, but I might have to connect with you before I do.

      Thanks again!

Living life outside the ‘box’ is a good thing. Just remember balance and priorities. You’re doing a great job!
